Creating a Stronger and More Responsive Behavioral Health Organization The Transformation Training and Workforce Development Unit provides training and workforce-related activities to support the DBH/MRS system-wide transformation effort and enable the organization to provide the highest quality of behavioral health services. The Unit is comprised of two components to help DBH/MRS advance its vision across the entire organization: Transformation Training. This group develops, plans, implements and evaluates training that addresses the DBH/MRS priority areas and helps advance the transformation of Philadelphia's behavioral health system. Core principles are infused into the education of all stakeholders, which include: People receiving services and their supporters/families DBH/MRS staff Contracted providers Community groups/members of the community Workforce Development. This group employs a multi-faceted approach to the enhancement of the behavioral health workforce in Philadelphia which includes: A Departmental internship program to facilitate existing and future internal internship placements for Masters and PhD level candidates The development of partnerships with other community-based entities, colleges & universities and with the Mayor's Office to increase workforce capacity building and efficiency while providing opportunities for career advancement Facilitation of the Unit Transformation Planning process to increase the Department's awareness of the core transformation values and principles.
