Enhancing Care to Maximize Recovery In order to deliver the highest-quality of behavioral health care and services to citizens, DBH/MRS provides a comprehensive array of training, education and professional development programs to staff, volunteers, partner agencies and persons in recovery. In order to achieve our vision of transforming Philadelphia's behavioral healthcare system to one that is recovery-oriented and effective across all cultures, constituents, and communities, ongoing training and education will be vital.DBH/MRS has developed an education and training strategy that will: Build the knowledge and skills of staff and care providers Provide stakeholders with access to the latest best practices in behavioral health Implement new treatment therapies and techniques that promote recovery, resiliency and self-determination Improve the quality of care to all persons served in the DBH/MRS system Key training programs and partnerships include: Behavioral Health Training and Education Network- offering over 170 training and education events for behavioral health professionals, persons in recovery and families. Case Management Training- in-service training for behavioral health Case Managers and supervisors. Summer Camp Provider Training- a new training program for Philadelphia Department of Recreation summer camp supervisors and staff to better manage child and adolescent behaviors. Targeted Case Management (TCM) Core Curriculum Training- providing essential, state-mandated education to new Case Managers in the behavioral health system.
