Achieving Wellness Through Shared Experiences One of the greatest resources for people in recovery is the support offered by their peers. DBH/MRS provides peer support programs and activities in which people with mental health and/or drug/alcohol issues are assisted by peers, who use their first-hand experience to provide invaluable inspiration, motivation, encouragement and support. A partial list of peer support programs includes: Friends Connection- a peer-run mobile psychiatric counseling service sponsored by the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Co-Location of Physical Health and Behavioral Health Services- convenient programs that allow people to seek services for their behavioral health and medical needs at one location. Mutual Support Groups- for individuals who share a common challenge or similar interest. A digest for people in recovery describing their current state of mind, progress, and future outlook.
