Outreach Support

Caring for the Community

DBH/MRS is committed to the vision that people with serious mental illnesses can lead productive and meaningful lives with the help of recovery-oriented treatment and supports.

In order to help people achieve and maintain an optimal level of well-being, we proactively work with the community on a variety of outreach initiatives that enhance the delivery of mental services. The goal of our outreach support efforts is to:

  • Empower individuals by providing tools and support that encourage self-directed recovery
  • Promote independent living and assist with community reintegration
  • Help consumers identify and use support systems within their local community to maintain recovery
  • Provide support to families

DBH/MRS conducts a variety of community outreach initiatives to help adults, children, and their families throughout Philadelphia. These services include:

  • Case Management Support- individualized assistance that helps link people to services and supports that aid in recovery
  • Homeless Outreach- targeted outreach efforts across the city to help homeless people with behavioral health issues access housing programs and treatment services.
  • Coordinated Consumer Services- clinical care support to mental health professionals and consumers receiving mental health services in Philadelphia
